She/Her

Trilingual native Puerto Rican, spoken word poet, and actress. Although struggling with homelessness upon arrival to NYC from Puerto Rico, I found a free after school program for acting and writing. I then started acting and writing poetry at the age of 15; and have fallen deeply in love with acting and poetry ever since. I was lucky and hardworking enough to be awarded with several scholarships to acting conservatories and classes. One of the scholarships was to the Arts Effects where I had the chance of training with Katie Cappiello and Meg McInerney (technique training/scene and character study). Another great experience was a master class on character study with Uzo Aduba. Acting has allowed me to learn a lot about myself and to see life from others perspectives. This allowed me to become a more accepting and loving person towards everyone around me. I love art so much I started my own club at my school, called Colorful Souls. I did this to provide a safe space for other students and myself to create expressive art and to give support for those who need it. This was something that I didn't have growing up, so I want other to have a place where they can go to feel safe and supported.
